Australian Housing…Alert but not alarmed

Last week I promised to post the presentation that I have given today to the Newcastle Chapter of the Property Council of Australia. It has been reworked a little back into a Lighthouse Presentation and format and I do apologise for the intermittent page numbers.

In the Presentation I have tried to look at how the global economic situation ties back to Australian households and then into property in general and the Hunter specifically.

The key takeaway is that I am not a flat earth bursting housing bubble advocate but I do believe that house prices remain under pressure for the moment. But this is in the context that housing is undergoing a cyclical downtick within a structural sound outlook.
